Hattie gets a tattoo

Check it out- Hattie's first tattoo! And wouldn't ya know, it matches Daddy's tattoo! That's because she's a daddy's girl and she's punk rock. I'm so proud!

A party for Hattie

Grandma Sally's family threw a lovely shower for Hattie over the weekend. Hattie received many homemade heirloom gifts, including a hand-painted sign with hooks, a Kewpie doll with an outfit that was crocheted by John's Grandma Mary Louise, a mirror from Nana Kay, and a hand-knit blanket from Great Aunt Virginia (Okie) among other wonderful and thoughtful gifts. Everyone enjoyed holding Hattie. It was a memorable day.

It's Monday...

Ta-da! It's not pink!

Sorry for the recent lack in blogging, but little Hattie has been pretty busy lately and so has her mom. As you will see, she is somewhat blurry in these photos because her little arms and legs are in almost constant motion- flailing and kicking. Daddy and I decided we should hook her up to some contraption that generates hydroelectricity or grinds coffee or something. With this energy, she could surely solve our nation's crisis.

Road Trip To Wenatchee

We took little Hattie on a road trip yesterday to get our new Vespa, a 1976 150 Super. She did great considering she was wedged in that dreadful car seat all day, and in the backseat of the truck no less. I don't know how she sleeps when she's being rattled all day. She had a few meltdown moments, but overall, behaved like the perfect baby she is.

I changed her diaper on the tailgate- thanks for the photos, Daddy! She'll love those when she's 14.

Look at that scoot! It still has the sticker bearing the place where it was purchased in Seattle- a place specializing in lawnmowers. Priceless. It was another perfect day.
